How to Throw a Baby Shower Under $200

Erica Santos

Hello Moms-to-be!!! Today I want to show you how you can throw a cute baby shower under budget.

You can find some pretty decoration items at the dollar tree store or make your own decoration, youtube has a lot of DIY baby shower decor.

Here I used my change table as a table or you can use the crib and decorate with balloons. I used an area in my living room that the wall looks good so I didn't need a backdrop but if you want one you can buy nice fabric at Walmart for a really good price (around $5/yard). You can use some of your baby's toy and books to decorate as well.

The boxes were a gift but you can find beautiful ones at Michaels, don't forget to use the 40% off coupons that they normally have. The gold mirror is from Walmart (only $4), and you add your special touch using some of your jewelry.

Cupcakes are easy to make and it looks wonderful in your desert table, you can find easy tutorial on youtube about how to make the ice butter cream design. Here I used my Royal Prince cupcake toppers ($8 - 12 toppers).

The budget for you baby shower will also depend on the type of deserts you will serve. I really like french macaroons but you can make cake pops, rice Krispies and chocolate covered pretzel or strawberries. (Photos from Pinterest)

It's a hot trend this year these pretty jars that you can use to serve the drinks but if it's going to be over your budget you can just use the bottles from Starbucks and they will look great.

And don't forget to give a special thank you to your guests and family with this charming favor box. In this photo I'm displaying my Royal Prince favor boxes ($22 - 12 boxes).

Play some nice songs and enjoy your day with some baby shower games!!!

Hope you enjoyed the decoration and the tips!!
